Monopod

A monopod is in effect, a single legged tripod. Designed not to be left, it is a compact way of making sure your photographs are crisp and sharp. Some styles have small feet, so that they can stand alone on a hard surface and some tripods incorporate a monopod section in their overall design so it can be removed and used separately. If you are wanting to take photographs while travelling, monopods take up less room, are lighter and more manageable but can still take a heavy camera and lens. Some monopods will extend to nearly 2 meters in height and fold down to an amazing 41cm making them very versatile.
