Monopod

A Monopod is great for using with photo equipment that needs to be kept steady. They are more compact than a tripod and althought they will not realistically stand alone, the added advantage of being able to hold a large zoom lens steady for a long time is worth it's weight in gold. Having only one leg, it folds down much smaller than a standard tripod and can attach to the side, or even inside of a bag, ready to be used at a moments notice. We sell a monopod, with or without a head, so the choice is yours and all of them can extend to a suitable height depending on what requirements you have. We stock a wide range of monopods and can offer expert advice either over the phone, via e-mail or Live Chat. Take advantage of our free postage, or use the next day delivery option if you are in a hurry.

A monopod is in effect, a single legged tripod. Designed not to be left, it is a compact way of making sure your photographs are crisp and sharp. Some styles of monopods have feet, so that they can stand alone on a hard surface and some tripods have a monopod section incorporated in the design of the tripod, so it can be removed and used separately to the tripod. If wanting to take photographs while travelling, monopods take up less room, are lighter and more manageable. Some monopods will extend to nearly 2 meters in height and fold down to an amazing 41cm, so monopods are very versatile
