If you want to take consistently good photographs and are serious about photography, then the Digital Single Lens Reflex camera is for you. Interchangeable lenses mean that there is always a lens suitable for the type of photography you want to take. Close up shots can be achieved with a macro lens or long shots with a zoom lens and if you don’t particularly want to change lenses, it is possible to get a lens that covers the whole range from wide angle to long zoom. D-SLR cameras have been made to be completely automatic, even with the flash popping up, but also have the advantage of being completely manual, encompassing every stage in between, so they are extremely versatile, but you don’t have to get bogged down in shutter-speeds and apertures unless you really want too. There are lots of different brands, Canon, NikonSony etc and to be honest, camera manufacture has got to such a high standard that all main stream camera brands are well made and have loads of up to date technology. It’s usually down to feel as to which camera you buy, so it’s always a good idea, to pop down to your local store so you can have a play.
