A Brief History
3 Legged Thing began in a chicken shed, yes really, a chicken shed in Bedfordshire. There weren't any chickens in it at the time, so that was a bonus, but it proved the perfect place to get a new brand off the ground, hence the 3 Legged Thing. The designer was Danny Lenihan who was fed up with having multiple tripods for lots of different photo shoots and not one that would cover the lot, so he set about designing something that would work for all eventualities. He began with two tripods for studio use and then turned his attention to outside shoots and the specific requirements needed to get an all round tripod that did everything. They started with the colours (not boring black) and then moved on to technicalities, like heavy duty travel tripods, multiple section centre columns and a tripod that could successfully extend to 2 meters, whats not to like.
Harrison Cameras and 3 Legged Thing
3 Legged Thing approached us a few years ago to stock their products and we were so impressed with what we saw, that we started to sell them. They were a breath of fresh air in an otherwise boring product range and although we weren’t sure customers would take to them instantly, they did and we have continued to sell the range successfully ever since.
