The Canon EF 200mm f2.8 L II USM lens is part of the professional L series family meaning the lens is designed and manufactured to the highest standard and the optics are exceptional. The ring type USM focussing system on this lens means it will focus quickly and in near silence, the two ultra-low dispersion glass elements combined with rear focussing technology give the lens the ability to take ultra sharp images.
The fast aperture on the Canon EF 200mm f2.8 L II USM lens allows hand-held photography even in very low-lighting conditions and allows for sharper images and Canon's Super Spectra coatings ensure accurate colour balance and enhanced contrast whilst also reducing flare and ghosting, a common problem caused in digital photography, by light bouncing off a camera's sensor. The Canon EF 200mm f2.8 L II USM lens, passes distance information back to a compatible EOS camera's E-TTL II flash system to ensure optimal flash metering, which is ideal for photogrpahers who need to get the picture fast without worrying about exposure.
