 Convenient Design

For more intuitive handling of the Sony 100-400mm lens, it features customisable focus hold buttons that is conveniently located for use even continuous AF operation. Whilst they can also be customised from a camera menu to assign a variety of functions.  

This lens features a zoom smoothness adjust that gives mechanical control of zoom ring torque.  

The removable tripod mount allows for quick attachment and removal from a tripod so the user can switch between handheld and tripod shooting. When storing away/transporting, the tripod mount can be removed for convenient portability. The lock mechanism prevents accidental removal. 

Superb Lens Configuration The Sony 100-400mm lens is made up of 16 groups and 22 elements, including one Super ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element [1], and two ED glass elements [2] that have been strategically placed for optimum use of their technology. The advanced design supresses optical aberrations such as axial chromatic aberration, a common cause of resolution falloff in telephoto lenses, to produce clear, sharp images across the entire zoom range.

Combatting Ghosting and Flare The lenses feature Sony’s Nano AR Coating to minimise ghosting and flare when working with bright light sources, such as backlighting. Sharpness, high contrast and clarity is maintained across the frame in a variety of conditions.
