Offering a versatile 35mm classic wide standard prime lens that is great for capturing landscape, reportage, street photography, and more. Featuring high-speed autofocus, an exceptional optical design and various controls for intuitive use – giving photographers the freedom to explore creative opportunities and deliver high-quality results.  

High-speed Auto Focus   The integrated stepping motor drives a smooth, quiet and high-speed Auto Focus – beneficial for high-quality, fluent videos with enhanced audio as well as capturing intricate details of the subject. The inner focus system ensures ultimate stability by only using the moveable internal lens elements that adjust focus so the length of the lens barrel doesn’t change. Switch instantly between Auto and Manual focus with the Focus Mode Switch. Featuring a manual aperture ring to allow the user to work more intuitively.

Exceptional Optical Construction   The optical construction of the SIGMA 35mm lens consists of 10 elements in 9 groups, including one SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element and three aspherical elements. The lens elements have been strategically arranged to ensure optimum use of their technology to correct various types of aberration and deliver sharp images across the frame. The lens design also has significant control over sagittal coma aberration making it suitable for capturing incredible details in night sky photography.

Preventing Ghosting and Flare  SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating has been incorporated to minimise ghosting and flare when working with strong light sources such as back lighting. This ensures photographers can consistently produce sharp, high-contrast images across the frame.

Creating Perspective  With a bright F2.8 aperture the lens makes use of available light and the photographer can easily control depth of field – performing brilliantly in low light conditions. The 9-blade rounded diaphragm contributes towards creating stunning, smooth bokeh.

Excellent Durability   As part of SIGMA’s Contemporary line, this lens has been built to withstand day to day use. Featuring an all-metal construction, including precision-cut aluminium parts for the lens barrel and metal materials in the internal structures to add to the overall robustness and professional feel. The brass bayonet mount features special sealing to protect the lens from dust and water drops – SIGMA have ensured the user can feel confident in a variety of shooting conditions. The lens includes a magnetic metal lens cap that clips to the front surface.
