Permajet FB Pearl 300 fibre base paper is a new addition to the Permajet Baryta Range and replaces the Fibre base Satin 300 for a slightly more luxurious pearl finish. Taking all the positives from the Fibre base Royal Gloss the pearlised finish is similar to a silver halide glazed fibre base print with a gorgeous pearl finish, which adds to the rich deep blacks and high contrast for edge-to-edge perfection. The acid-free alpha cellulose base has been specifically manufactured to help the fade resistance properties of the paper and the superb coating technology gives outstanding tonal range and print detail. The superb D-Max* and colour gamut with both dye and pigment inks means it is at home with both colour and black and white printing.

*D-Max measures the deepest black tone that a printer, ink and paper combination can produce. Dmax = -Log10 which is the minimum print reflectivity. Without good Dmax capabilities, prints can appear pale and washed out, which detracts from the overall quality of the image, unless it is an intended, creative intention. The printer’s tonal response curve and ICC profiling of the paper ensure that the Dmax is used to its full advantage on the Fibre Base Pearl 300 and can be set up using a flatbed scanner and step chart.
