PermaJet FB Pearl 300 fibre base paper is a new addition to the PermaJet Baryta Range, replacing the Fibre Base Satin 300 for a slightly more luxurious pearl finish. Incorporating all the positives from the Fibre Base Royal Gloss, the pearlised finish resembles a silver halide glazed fibre base print with a stunning pearl effect, enhancing the rich deep blacks and high contrast for edge-to-edge perfection. The acid-free alpha-cellulose base has been specifically manufactured to enhance the fade resistance properties of the paper, and the superb coating technology provides an outstanding tonal range and print detail. The excellent D-Max* and colour gamut with both dye and pigment inks make it ideal for both colour and black-and-white printing.
*D-Max measures the deepest black tone that a printer, ink, and paper combination can produce. D-Max = -Log10, which is the minimum print reflectivity. Without good D-Max capabilities, prints can appear pale and washed out, detracting from the overall quality of the image unless it is an intended creative effect. The printer’s tonal response curve and ICC profiling of the paper ensure that the D-Max is used to its full advantage on the Fibre Base Pearl 300 and can be set up using a flatbed scanner and step chart.
