The Sony Alpha A9 Digital Camera features a unique 35mm stacked full-frame sensor which sets the camera apart from anything else. Offers a 24.4 megapixel, full-frame sensor and can capture images at 20 frames per second. Track complex, inconsistent movement with more accuracy than previously possible - the new AF/AE system can calculate up to 60 times per second. 693 focal plane phase detection AF points mean that around 93% of the frame is being monitored at any given moment. A joystick on the back allows the user to change focus in the frame by pressing a direction. The new NP-FZ100 battery has around 2.2x the capacity of tprevious Sony full-frame models and dual card slots mean that data can be recorded to both cards at once.

The a9 offers an ISO range of 100-51,200, working with the BIONZ X processor to lower noise on higher settings, while supporting 14-bit RAW so users can make the most of the wide dynamic range. The a9 captures 6K of data to produce 4K output of the highest quality. Filming at Full HD there is the option to record up to 120fps for 20-25% quality slow motion with AF tracking. The new 3,686k-dot TruFinder is the highest-resolution viewfinder and the ultra-sharp screen is optimised with a Zeiss T* coating and can be set to 60 or 120fps.
