The Canon 85mm 1.8 USM EF Lens is a super lens for portrait photography. With a short telephoto focal length and large maximum aperture, this makes an ideal lens for working indoors and in low light conditions. Canon 85mm is an affordable lens that offers high quality so you don’t miss out on capturing special moments.
Bring attention to your focus subjects with the advantage of the virtually circular aperture diaphragm. This feature helps give those out-of-focus regions a softened feel so your foreground subjects can stand out. Using the short focal length, the Canon 85mm lens has the ability to slightly compress perspectives reducing the size of prominent facial features for more flattering results.
Experience ultrasonic focusing with the ring-type ultrasonic motor that makes the Canon 85mm lens autofocus rapidly and quietly. It offers excellent holding torque, ensuring that the point of focus is reached accurately, without overshooting. Full-time manual override is available, making it possible to adjust focus without leaving Auto Focus mode.
Canon's Super Spectra coatings ensure accurate colour balance and enhanced contrast whilst also reducing flare and ghosting, a common problem caused in digital photography, by light bouncing off a camera's sensor.
