Leica Binoculars

Leica binoculars are top of the range binoculars suitable for anyone with a keen interest in nature. Meticulously constructed, Leica Binoculars have outstanding optics which give brilliant images, accurate colour rendition and superb magnification. One of the top of the range brands, Leica have always maintained exceptionally high standards and have proved to be robust whatever the situation; the entire range pays homage to the old adage 'You get What You Pay For'. The ultravid range has been developed with the keen amateur in mind and incorporates Leica's unique AquaDura Coating so they can be used in all weathers, making them rough and tough for any environment. The Leica trinovid range have smaller more compact styles of binocular that can be easily put in a pocket and these are manufactured alongside the larger standard size binoculars, that are designed for use out in the field or in a hide. Leica in Germany have historically been investing in research and development for optics and build quality, so have plenty of experience in manufacturing top notch equipment. Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. If you would like any more information, then give us a call, or use our Live Chat

Especially good for birdwatching, these binoculars are also great for taking on safari or simply out walking the dog as they greatly enhance the experience. Unfortunately the general rule is the larger the binoculars the better they are, although it really does depend on how well the optics have been manufactured. Light gathering power and magnification are the two main components for a good pair of binoculars, but more magnification doesn't mean a better image. Always check the objective lens measurement (the lenses at the opposite end to the eyepieces) and if it is small, then the optics have to be extra special to cope with the lack of light. That's where the Leica compact style of binocular come in to their own, as they maintain edge to edge quality as well as colour rendition, even though they are only 20mm or 25mm. The larger style binoculars are really well balanced, making them comfortable to use and can be used with a harness, if going out for the day.
