Having an F-Stop of 1.4, this range of lenses are extremely bright and perfect for low light conditions. The smooth, accurate focusing ensures pin sharp images and when the aperture is fully open, the out of focus background, gives the photograph an almost 3D appearance. Available in both silver and black finish the lenses included 100 types of optical glass and undergo around 60 quality control checks to ensure that the finished product is perfect. The polishing process of the glass, was specifically developed by Leica for their lenses and the ultrasonic bath that is used on the optics, deep cleans them before they are coated. Each lens is then hand finished, tested and undergoes further inspection before it is shipped out.
