  • Crop Zoom in stills and video
  • Phase and contrast hybrid autofocus
  • 12-bit CinemaDNG RAW video, internal or to SSD
  • Optional EVF-11 viewfinder
  • L-Mount, hot shoe unit included

The Sigma fp L puts a 61MP full-frame sensor into the same tiny body as the Sigma fp. Launched in 2021, it weighs 375g and gives landscape, architecture, street and studio photographers huge resolution in a camera that fits in a coat pocket.

61MP resolution

The back-illuminated sensor records 61 megapixels, enough for large prints and heavy crops. Sigma added a low-pass filter to keep moire under control.

Crop Zoom

Crop Zoom lets you zoom digitally into the frame in stills and Cine modes, up to 5x for Full HD video, so a single prime can cover several focal lengths. You can pinch to zoom on the touchscreen.

Hybrid autofocus

Unlike the original fp, the fp L combines phase and contrast detection for quicker, more confident focusing, with face and eye detection.

Video and modularity

It records 12-bit CinemaDNG RAW internally or to an external SSD, and supports the optional EVF-11 electronic viewfinder. A hot shoe unit comes in the box.

Who it's for

This is for photographers who want maximum detail in the smallest body. Paired with the Sigma 28-70mm F2.8 DG DN the whole kit weighs under 900g. The Sigma fp is the 24.6MP version with a faster burst rate, and the Sigma BF is the simpler everyday option.

Frequently asked questions

How many megapixels is the Sigma fp L?

61 megapixels, from a full-frame back-illuminated sensor.

Sigma fp L or Sigma fp?

The fp L has 61MP, hybrid autofocus and Crop Zoom. The fp has 24.6MP and shoots faster bursts.

Does the Sigma fp L have a viewfinder?

Not built in. The EVF-11 electronic viewfinder attaches to the side of the camera and is sold separately.

Does the Sigma fp L have in-body stabilisation?
