Thornfield HouseSigma 50mm F1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E
Our Price: £849.00
The Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG DN Art for Sony E is a fast full-frame standard prime designed only for mirrorless cameras. Sigma's aim was sharpness from the centre to the edges at F1.4, and on an a7 IV, a7C II or a7R V it covers portraits, weddings, street, product work and video.
There are 14 elements in 11 groups, including one SLD and three aspherical elements, with aberrations balanced from the centre to the corners at F1.4.
An HLA linear motor moves a single double-sided aspherical focus element, which makes focusing fast, quiet and accurate for stills and video.
There is an aperture ring with a click switch and a lock, an assignable AFL button and a focus mode switch.
The body is dust- and splash-resistant, the front element has a water- and oil-repellent coating, and the petal hood locks on.
This is for photographers who want a professional F1.4 standard lens. The Sigma 50mm F2 DG DN is about half the weight for everyday carry, and the Sigma 35mm F1.4 DG II offers a wider view at the same aperture.
Also available for L-Mount.
