The Sigma 20mm F2 DG DN Contemporary for L-Mount is a compact full-frame ultra-wide prime from Sigma's all-metal I series. It weighs 370g, and on a Lumix S5II, Sigma BF or Leica SL3 it gives you a bright F2 aperture for landscapes, interiors, street and night scenes without the bulk of an F1.4 lens.

Bright and compact
F2 is a stop brighter than most ultra-wide zooms, which helps indoors and after dark. Sigma also kept sagittal coma flare low, so it can handle the night sky too.

Image quality
There are 13 elements in 11 groups, including one FLD, one SLD and three aspherical elements, to keep colour fringing and distortion low.
All-metal build
The barrel, aperture ring and focus ring are metal, and a magnetic metal lens cap comes in the box. The mount has a rubber seal against dust and splashes.
Handling
There is a manual aperture ring and an AF/MF switch, and a quiet stepping motor drives the autofocus for both stills and video.
Who it's for
This is for travellers and landscape photographers who want a bright ultra-wide that stays small. If you want the smallest possible ultra-wide, the Sigma 17mm F4 DG DN is wider and lighter, and the Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG DN is the faster choice for night skies.
