Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f0.95 ASPH Silver Lens is designed with an exceptional depth of field control. The lens' optical design uses a total of eight elements in five groups with five partial dispersion lenses for controlling colour defects while three lenses are highly refractive for controlling distortion adn spherical aberrations while keeping the design compact. Also, two of the surfaces are aspherical and a rear floating element is able to improve the close-up performance of the lens throughout the f0.95 to f16 aperture range. This Noctilux-M 50mm Lens features Leica's 6-bit coding for sending metadata to digital M cameras, this allows frame lines to be shown as well as digital correction of lens aberrations. The lens has a minimum focusing distance of 3.32 and an extendable lens hood to limit flare. This lens can hold 60mm filters with the use of an accessory holder.
