The Sony A9 Digital Camera features a unique 35mm stacked full-frame sensor. Offers unparalleled usability and speed; featuring a 24.2 megapixel, full-frame sensor, the Sony A9 can capture images at a remarkable 20 frames per second, with continuous AF/AE tracking for up to 241 RAW images or 362 JPEGs. Track compex and inconsistent movement with more accuracy - the AF/AE system can calculate up to 60 times per second.
Featuring a joystick on the back, allowing the user to change focus in the frame by pressing a direction (available in Zone, Flexible Spot and Expanded Flexible Shot focus area modes). The Sony a9 captures 6K of data, oversampling to produce the 4K output of the highest quality. The new 3,686k-dot TruFinder is extremely high-resolution and the ultra-sharp screen is optimised with a Zeiss T*coating and can also be set to 60 or 120fps.
The Sony A9 offers an ISO range of 100-51,200 (expandable to 50-204,800) – working with the BIONZ X processor to minimise noise on higher settings, while supporting uncompressed 14-bit RAW so users can make the most of the wide dynamic range. The new NP-FZ100 battery has around 2.2x the capacity of previous Sony full-frame models, while dual card slots mean that data can be recorded to both cards at once as RAW/JPEG.
