High-speed Auto Focus

An integrated stepping motor drives a high-speed, whisper-quiet Auto Focus. Paired with a manual aperture ring to give photographers the ability to work intuitively. Switch instantly between Auto and Manual Focus with the Focus Mode Switch.  

The L-mount lens supports Linear focus/non-linear focus for focus movement method preference. 

Sharpness Across the Frame...  

The optical construction consists of 13 elements in 11 groups, including two SLD (Special low Dispersion) glass elements, one FLD (F Low Dispersion) glass element, and two glass-moulded aspherical elements. The technology and strategic arrangement of the lenses have ensured the lens elements are kept down in size to reduce the weight of the lens, whilst also correcting optical aberrations.   

Reducing Ghosting and Flare 

SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating has been incorporated to minimise ghosting and flare when working with strong light sources such as back lighting. This ensures photographers can consistently produce sharp, high-contrast images across the frame. 

Bright Aperture and Beautiful Bokeh 

The bright F2 aperture gives photographers the perfect balance of size and speed to work well with available light and control over depth of field – great for shooting in low light conditions. The 9-blade rounded diaphragm allows for the creation of beautifully smooth bokeh in out of focus areas. 

Excellent Durability 

As part of SIGMAs Contemporary line, this 24mm lens is compact, portable and durable. Rubber sealing has been placed on the lens mount to protect it from dust and water drops – ensuring you can shoot outdoors confidently. The brass bayonet mount and all-metal build contributes to the overall durability and robustness of the lens.
