SIGMA Optics

SIGMA have incorporated 13 elements in 8 groups, including an aspherical lens element and 3 SLD (Special-low Dispersion) glass elements. Collectively, the elements have been strategically arranged to significantly reduce optical aberrations for optimum image performance. SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to the lens elements to reduce ghosting and flare when working with bright light sources/backlit conditions. The included lens hood can also be attached to block out unwanted light so rendering performance is uncompromised.   

High-speed Auto Focus

The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) drives a fast, precise and whisper-quiet Auto Focus as well as an enhanced algorithm for smoother focusing. The added AF/MF switch allows for intuitive use and functionality so you can cater to your shooting style.  

Durability

The Sigma 50mm lens has been engineered to withstand the rigours of daily professional use. The external and internal parts are constructed out of TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) alongside traditional metal parts so the lens can continue operating in a variety of temperatures.  

The bayonet mount has a brass build to contribute towards the overall accuracy and durability of the lens. The included hood and mount design features rubber sealing for dust and moisture resistance – giving you the freedom to find the perfect shot.
