SIGMA introduces the Sigma 50mm F1.4 DG HSM A Lens as being the first of its kind. Part of SIGMA’s Art Line of lenses, the 50mm lens inherits high-performance, functionality and outstanding image quality. SIGMA have raised the bar when it comes to large-aperture standard lenses. 

Thanks to the fast f1.4 aperture and 9-blade diaphragm, the SIGMA 50mm delivers stunning balanced images and allows you to create a shallow depth-of-field complemented with a softened bokeh effect. A brilliant option for shooting night time illuminations as you can achieve better colour saturation.  

AF/MF Switch An AF/MF switch has been designed so you can intuitively switch between focusing to quickly fine tune the details. Internally, the lens features a HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) to ensure that autofocus is fast and near-silent.

Advanced Technology The SIGMA 50mm lens has been expertly constructed to ensure there is minimised optical defects. Featuring SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass to reduce axial chromatic aberration and produce consistent flawless images. SIGMA’s Super Multi-Layer Coating also works to minimise flare and ghosting even in backlit situations. The lens is equipped with a lens hood that can be attached to contribute to blocking out unwanted light.

TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) SIGMA introduces the new TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) on the lens barrel, this offers minimal thermal shrinkage alongside exceptional hardness. Compared to polycarbonate, there is 25% greater elasticity.

Durability The SIGMA 35mm lens has a brass bayonet mount to ensure the construction continues to stay strong. As well as its treated surfaces to protect the lens from thorough use. This is a durable lens that is prepared for varying conditions.
