The special coating and the two ELD glass elements reduce flare and chromatic aberration which ensures sharp, bright images in even the most difficult of lighting conditions.

The internal focusing system of the Sigma 300mm f/2.8 Apo EX DG HSM Lens Canon Fit, is designed to reduce the overall length of the lens even when focusing, so it is less cumbersome and easier to use. The Hyper Sonic Motor provides fast and silent auto focus functions as well as full-time manual over-ride. The lens is designed to take a rear filter which is the drop in style and measures 46mm, this is particularly useful for the use of neutral Density and polarising filters.

The Sigma 300mm f/2.8 Apo EX DG HSM Lens Canon Fit has 11 elements in 9 groups and an angle of view of 8.2 degrees with 9 diaphragm blades for excellent depth of field capabilities. By optionally adding an APO teleconverter, means that this lens can be used as a 420mm F4 AF ultra-telephoto lens with a 1.4X EX teleconverter, or a 600mm F5.6 AF ultra-telephoto lens with a 2X teleconverter.
