The SIGMA 24mm F1.4 DG HSM Lens is part of SIGMA’s iconic art line that prioritises brilliant functionality and high performance to give you full artistic control. This lens is a versatile option for shooting landscapes, portraits, close-ups and more. With a higher resolution around the focus point, you can create a shallow depth-of-field and a natural bokeh effect.  

Smooth Auto-focus and Excellent Handling 

SIGMA’s Art line prides itself in functionality and that continues into focusing. The lens cap features an AF/MF switch so you can intuitively switch between focusing to fine tune the details. Inside the 24mm lens is the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) that alongside an enhanced algorithm, works to deliver rapid but near silent autofocus. SIGMA truly gives you full control with this lens as you can switch into full-time manual focus to add those artistic touches.  

The zoom ring is positioned at the front of the lens to not only create a slim barrel design but to ensure effective usability. SIGMA have ensured easy handling when adjusting the focus and zoom rings as the length of the lens does not change. 

TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) 

SIGMA introduces the new TSC (Thermally Stable Composite) on the lens barrel, this offers minimal thermal shrinkage alongside exceptional hardness. Compared to polycarbonate, there is 25% greater elasticity. 

Designed to deliver outstanding optics 

Incorporating the latest technology, the 24mm lens features three types of exclusive low-dispersion glass elements to reduce optical aberrations: ELD (Extraordinary Low Dispersion), SLD (Special Low Dispersion) and FLD (“F” Low Dispersion). By combining high-refractivity convex lens elements and a low-refractivity concave element gives SIGMA lenses a flawless result without chromatic aberration. Enjoy capturing celestial bodies even at the wide-angle aperture as the aspherical elements work to minimise streaking from light sources towards the edges of the image. 

SIGMA have also included a Super Multi-Layer Coating on the lens to further help combat flare and ghosting and ensure outstanding, high contrast images even in backlit situations. 

Durability  

The SIGMA 24mm lens has a brass bayonet mount to ensure the construction continues to stay strong. As well as its treated surfaces to protect the lens from thorough use. This is a durable lens that is prepared for varying conditions.
