This beautiful rustic wooden frame has a 'floorboard' effect with horizontal wood panels crossing the aperture opening. Designed with a distressed finish, the rough wood has a very raised grain and tack holes where the wooden panels are attached to the backboard. The width of the edge of the frame is approximately 1 and 3/4 inch and the edge next to the glass aperture is a smooth, bevelled piece of wood that finishes off the horizontal panelling beautifully. It can stand or hang on either a strong strut positioned at the back of the frame or by the moveable metal hook that simply hooks into the backboard. The photograph is fitted into the back of the frame by loosening the metal tabs which are on the side and the base of the frame and then sliding out the backboard from the top of the frame. Everything is then repositioned and secured using the same metal tabs. The frame can stand or hang either vertically or horizontally depending on whether you are displaying a landscape or portrait image.
