For photographers who specialise in portraiture, nature and indoor shots, the Olympus 75mm f1.8 Black ED M.Zuiko Lens is one of the best engineered lenses in the M.Zuiko range and a top-grade addition to your kitbag. Reap the benefits of a cleverly designed optical design and bright open f1.8 aperture that offers high resolution and low aberration.
High-quality Performance
This prime lens features a 9 circular aperture diaphragm and maximum aperture of f1.8 so you can produce gorgeous, creamy background bokeh. Alongside this, you can achieve sharp focus when working with shallow depth of field as the advanced MSC (Movie and Stills Compatible) motor drives a fast, precise and ultra-silent autofocus. Perfect for when you’re shooting video. The 75mm focal length covers so many shooting situations, but is ultimately perfect for that extra reach when capturing shy subjects or for situations where you need to be more discreet.
Minimum Focus Distance of 0.84mm
With a minimum focus distance of 0.84mm, this prime lens is perfect for shooting in situations where you don’t want to disturb the subject – ideal for capturing wildlife or special moments at weddings when you, the photographer, need to keep in the background.
Impressive Optical Design
The lens configuration consists of 10 elements in 9 groups, including 3 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements and 2 HR (High Refractive index) elements to collectively reduce optical defects in various lighting situations e.g., chromatic aberrations. These elements contribute to the overall sharpness of the image and ensure quality is consistent whether you’re shooting outside or inside.
Comfortable Handling
The Olympus 75mm lens has been constructed to ensure comfortable handling. Whilst compact, the lens has a lightweight metal housing weighing just 305g and measuring at 69mm in length. This is an impressive lens inside and out. Whilst compact, the exterior has been crafted to a high standard to ensure it withstands thorough professional use.
