Near-silent Autofocus

Nikon have built-in a stepping motor that drives a faster, more precise and near-silent Auto Focus– beneficial for shooting video for enhanced audio. The addition of the silent control ring allows for customisation of exposure-compensation settings, as well as a focus ring when using Manual Focus. Take control and achieve incredible 4K video footage with a stunning shallow depth of field.  

Focus breathing is all but eliminated, enabling reliable composition of expressive shots. Smooth, stable aperture control delivers natural exposure changes throughout the scene. 

Low Light Shooting

The Nikon 35mm lens uses in-camera Vibration Reduction that enabled you to shoot at shutter speeds up to five stops slower, eliminating effects of camera shake and allowing you to achieve clear images/videos even as the sun goes down. 

Weather Resistant

Along with your Nikon Z camera, you have a pairing ready to withstand the elements. The lens barrel is sealed to protect the internal system from getting damaged by dust and water droplets.
