This is a highly sophisticated wide-angle lens that performs outstandingly sharp images even in low light thanks to Nikon’s delivery of fine optical technology.
The Nikon 24m lens is optimised for FX-format cameras but is equally impressive on DX-format cameras.
Natural Perspective
Nikon has raised the benchmark when it comes to delivering natural wide-angle perspectives. With the ultra-fast f/1.4 aperture, this lens allows you to shoot handheld in low light conditions with confidence. As a 9-blade rounded aperture you can create a beautiful blurred or bokeh effect in artistic images.
Aspherical Elements
Nikon’s Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass and aspherical lens elements work together to help to reduce visual defects and deliver crisp images with bold contrast at even larger apertures. As well as Nano Crystal Coating (N) to tackle ghosting and flare.
Silent Wave Motor
Incorporated into Nikon's new design is the Silent Wave Motor which speeds up the autofocus function whilst reducing noise in order to allow for unobtrusive photography.
Focusing
The Nikon 24mm lens is incorporated with a Rear Focusing System that only allows the rear lens group to move during focusing which enables more rapid focusing to take advantage of the perfect moment. Designated RF the lens barrel.
Turn the focusing ring on the lens while looking through the viewfinder to seamlessly transition from automatic to manual focusing without the dreaded lag time. Nikon’s advanced technology provides efficient control of the lens to make an enjoyable shooting experience.
