Description
This Lomography Daguerreotype Achromat is a 64mm manual art lens for Canon EF mount DSLRs. The Daguerreotype Achromat has been inspired by the world's first photographic lens - a 19th century invention created for the Daguerreotype camera by Charles Chevalier.
Alternate between extremely sharp images and silky soft focus, the Daguerreotype Achromat Art Lens has a focal length of 64mm and a classic Waterhouse Aperture system ranging from f2.9 to f16. Features specially designed plates to produce rich, textured backgrounds. The optical construction has been redesigned from the original so you can enjoy soft focus from apertures below f4 or razor-sharp contrast from f5.6 onwards. Simply insert a plate into a shaft in front of the lens elements to be creative with a wide range of bokeh effects. For softer images, Lomography has also developed Lumière and Aquarelle Aperture plates. The Lumière aperture plates provide a soft glow and grained background, while the Aquarelle aperture plates produce a textured effect, similar to watercolour masterpieces!
