The Leica Trinovid 10x42 Binoculars are a relatively compact and lightweight set of binoculars for their style. Well built, they are rugged and watertight down to 4 meters which makes them perfect for a days rough walking or a holiday on safari. The large 42mm High Definition objective lenses allow the maximum amount of light through to the prisms, whilst the 10x magnification gives stunning reporoduction and colour rendition, showing even the smallest animals and birds as well as insects and flowers. The close focusing of 1.6 meters makes the Trinovid 10x42 binoculars really versitile, as often wildlife can come closer than you expect and the ability to focus close to your feet cannot be under-estimated

HD Optics

Exceptionally bright and clear viewing the Leica 10x42 HD lenses give pin sharp resolution from edge to edge and perfect contrast, particularly at dusk and dawn; rainy days and heavy cloud cover are also not a problem, even though the available light can be really flat. With a weight of just 720g, the Trinovid HD binoculars are considered very lightweight for their class and are ergonomically designed for speed, with the large focusing wheel in the perfect position for using even when looking through the eyepieces and not at the wheel. Thw twist up eyecups are great for using with the naked eye and if wearing specatcles, the binoculars can still be used, by turning down the eyecups, so they sit flush to the body of the binoculars. The eyesight dioptre correction wheel is seperate to the focusing wheel and when fixed to the correct dioptre prescription stays put even when fast focusing so every detail is at the absolute best it can be.

Leica know exactly what their customers like and what is required for serious birders or wildlife watchers, so have manufactured the Trinovid binoculars to an incredibly high specification. Don't worry about taking them out and about and use them constantly in all weathers, they will take most of what you can throw at them and although they are relatively expensive, you are paying for the useability. The wide field of view at all distances, makes locating a subject much easier, no matter how small or how far away and the Trinovid's extremely effective, water-resistant and dirt-repellent coating, means that you can rinse them off under a running tap at the end of a long days use. Beautifully balanced, the Leica 10x42 binocular can be held steady for long periods of time, but can also be attached to a tripod for owners who sit in hides. (tripod adapter sold sereately). The rubber armoured coating is designed to give additional protection as well as outstanding handling capabilities and make the binoculars warm to the touch even on the coldest of days.
