This entry-level Slim Line UV filter, is perfect for protecting an expensive lens, wiithout having any other optical correction. The clear high definition glass is coated on both sides, to help stop stray light becoming an issue on the camera sensor and the slim line frame avoids vignetting, which is when the rim of the filter can be seen in the viewfinder and ends up on the photographs; this is particularly a problem on wide angle lenses.. Available in diameters from 37 to 77mm, so will fit most lenses.
