Dorr Highlights C-1740 Carbon 4 Section Tripod with Ball Head

Description

The standard style Highlights C-1740 Carbon Tripod from Dorr has been designed and manufactured to a high standard and comes complete with a ball and socket head. The quick-lock 4 section tripod legs fold back on themselves to keep the tripod compact when not in use and each leg locks into three different positions so it can stand firm, even on uneven ground. 

Designed with 8 layers of carbon fibre, the C1740 tripod is really strong, but lightweight and features a detachable monopod which doubles as an adjustable centre column. This makes the tripod a really useful kit, as the monopod can be used separately when no free standing stabilisation is required. The quick twist locking system is fast and easy to use and holds the legs firmly in place whilst the additional metal hook at the base of the column can be used for extra stability, by hanging a camera bag or weight on it.

The Highlight ballhead has a panorama scale with bubble level built in to the quick release locking screw ensuring that the equipment is kept level. The attached quick-release plate has a standard 1/4" camera mount screw and then the standard 3/4" tripod leg socket, so that it can attach to most other tripod legs. The ball head is removable if required and the panoramic scale at the bottom of the head is perfect for panning and stitching photos.

This C-1740 extends to a maximum height of 174cm, but also collapses to a useable 58.5cm, it also has a 10kg load capacity. The tripod comes complete with a nylon carrying bag, which has a handle as well as a shoulder strap and a small compact pouch bag which covers the ball head when the tripod isn't in use, to stop it scratching the legs.
