The Claire photo album is lovely and will take photographs in both slip in plastic pockets and traditional style pages. Each page has either a plastic pocket for two 6x4 inch slip in albums or a traditional style page which has an area in the middle in which to stick a 6x4 photograph. Each page has its own pattern and colour coding which matches the front of the album and incorprates lace edging, stripes, flowers and spots. The memo areas at the side of the plastic pockets is approximately 2 inches wide so plenty of room for dates and names etc and the front of the album has a name page which says Happy Baby Boy. Its difficult to describe how individual this album is, but it is perfect for scrapbooking and for using as a long term record of baby's first year.
The hard front cover has a 2.5" sqaure aperture which can be used for an individual photo and it has a plastic front cover so the photo is protected. The photo is slipped into the aperture from the back of the front page and personalises the album to an individual child. The light blue or pink cover has little white squares with butterflies inside, but they are very understated and contrast really well with the horizontal strips that run down the left hand edge and wrap around the spine. The thin pale blue or pink bow has white stitching down the middle. The albums will take up to 48 photographs in landscape or portait format and has 15 pages in total.
