Canon RF 5.2mm Dual Fisheye F2.8 L VR Lens
With the Canon RF 5.3mm Dual Fisheye F2.8 L VR Lens you can capture the world in virtual reality. Featuring a high-quality optical design, a fast f2.8 aperture and a weather-resistant L-series body that is ready to withstand the elements and produce incredible footage. Canon’s first stereoscopic VR lens and has been designed to work conveniently with compatible high resolution, Full Frame, RF mount cameras such as the EOS R51.
Amazingly practical (3D) 180° VR Capture
The compact, single mount design simplifies quick camera setups for professional stereoscopic 180° VR capture, when using compatible high resolution, Full Frame, RF mount cameras, such as the EOS R51.
Efficient and Simplified Workflow
The stereoscopic 190° field of view and the two offset circular fisheye images are synchronised and recorded side-by-side onto a single Full Frame sensor. Use Canon’s EOS VR Utility plug-in to process the final edit, requiring no additional stitching.
High-quality Optics
The perfectly aligned, dual forward facing fisheye lenses each feature two UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) elements to help prevent aberrations. SWC (Subwavelength Structure Coating) has been applied to the lenses to reduce ghosting and flare when working with difficult light.
Low light Shooting Capabilities
With the fast f/2.8 aperture you can shoot confidently in low light conditions. The aperture has an accurately synchronised exposure and precise control via a dual Electro Magnetic Diaphragm (EMD) design.
L-series Build and Weather Resistance
As an L-series lens you receive L-series quality. Built for professional use, the lens is dust/splash resistant as well as fluorine coatings on the lenses to repel water and dirt. Don’t let the rain stop you from capturing the perfect image.
Gel Filter Holder for Precise Exposure Control
This lens comes equipped with a rear-mounted gelatine filter holder for pre-cut ND gels which can be used to help precisely control light levels when in use of 180°b VR video productions.
