Canon 800mm Lens F5.6 L IS USM EF is a super telephoto lens which provides huge magnification and excellent image quality. The lens is best used for wildlife and sports photography, the lens can also be used for more specialist work such as surveillance, the L series lens is the flagship professional lens from Canon representing the best in EF optics. Using the aspherical, fluorite UD and super UD optical elements dramatically reduces chromatic aberations which giving crisp, high contrast and undistorted image quality, all the way to the edge of the frame.
A ring-type ultrasonic motor on the Canon 800mm Lens drives the autofocus extremely quickly, and in near silence. It offers excellent holding torque, ensuring that the point of focus is reached accurately, without overshooting. Fulll-time manual override is available, making it possible to adjust focus without leaving Auto Focus mode.Canon's Super Spectra coatings ensure accurate colour balance and enhanced contrast whilst also reducing
flare and ghosting, a common problem caused in digital photography, by light bouncing off a camera's sensor.
The magnesium alloy build of the Canon 800mm Lens makes it light-weight, super-telephoto lens, suitable for hand-held photography and the lens has a four stop compensation Image stabalisation technology system, which means that faster shutter speeds can be used, which is great for low-light photography. The automatic panning detection automatically turns off the image Stabalisation in either the horizontal or vertical direction when following moving subjects.
