This Sigma Diagonal Fisheye lens for Canon cameras with close up ability designed exclusively for use with APS-C size digital SLR cameras. This autofocus fisheye lens is designed for use with digital SLR cameras equipped with APS-C size image sensors. It produces a diagonal angle of view of 167°. The diagonal field of view of this fisheye lens produces unusual and striking images with boosted perspective and distortion. The minimum focusing distance of 13.5cm, and maximum magnification 1:3.3 allows subjects to be as close as 1.8cm from the lens’ front element. The Integral hood blocks out extraneous light and the Super Multi-Layer Coating minimizes flare and ghosting, creating superior image quality.

It is built with an inner focusing system that creates high definition and excellent image quality over the whole frame. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures quick autofocusing and allows full-time manual focus override by rotation of the focus ringThe fast f/2.8 maximum aperture produces a bright image in the viewfinder making this lens ideal for low light photography.

This Fisheye lens is perfect for photographers using computer stitching software which request circular fisheye images to be input, finishing in stitched panoramas. Because of the perceptible angle/area relevance it produces, this lens can be used for scientific applications like angle measurements of cloud range over the sky, or vegetation distribution of the rain forest canopy. There is also a handy holder at the end of the lens that holds gelatin filters.
